Who is Kharl Louis-Jean ?

Kharl was born in Les Cayes, Haiti. His mother is a nurse, his father was a lawyer, but only Kharl had the imagination to explore the world of arts. His grandparents were from Cuba, and he continues to enjoy both cultures. Moving to the US in his teens saw him become more of a nomad, and a lone wolf, traits that he explores in his work. Nowadays, Kharl speaks five languages fluently (French, Haitian Creole, German, Spanish & English), a growing skill that connects his work to audiences around the world, but also gives him a very unique perspective as an artist.

After moving to the US and graduating from high school, Kharl decided to study acting for Film & TV in San Francisco, a vibrant city, filled with amazing artists and inspiration alike. Through many collaborations, he gained as much as experience as he could, deepening his knowledge of the craft of acting.

Kharl isn’t just an actor. Since his teenage years in Haiti, he had made a name for himself through his drawing skills. He used this passion to open the doors to another, writing. He went from writing graphic novels to now writing screenplays. The same way, he went from a simple drawer to now a highly skilled painter, having sold artworks around the world from North America to Europe.

He sees all his skills from filmmaking to fine art, writing, and even martial arts as strengths that support each other, inspiring him to create more. His films are a testament to how rich his vision is. Not only can he write stories, films in different languages that connect to many different backgrounds, but his films have gone on to be nominated at film festivals around the world. From North to South America, Europe, and Africa.
